Privacy Policy
BlitzPrompts ("BlitzPrompts," "we," "us," or "our") provides a Chrome extension and website that help users create, organize, and use prompt templates and related prompt-building tools.
Effective Date: April 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information BlitzPrompts currently handles and how that information is used.
1) Current Product Model
BlitzPrompts currently operates as a local-first Chrome extension.
- There is no user account system
- There is no login or authentication flow
- There is no paid tier, billing flow, or subscription system
- Your saved prompt library is stored locally in your browser, not in a BlitzPrompts cloud database
The BlitzPrompts website currently serves informational pages and template content.
2) What We Store Locally In Your Browser
A. Saved Prompt Library
When you create and save content in the extension, BlitzPrompts stores that data locally using chrome.storage.local.
This can include:
- Folder names
- Prompt titles
- Prompt text/content
- Prompt-to-folder relationships
- Local metadata such as IDs, timestamps, ordering, and favorite state
In the current version of BlitzPrompts, this saved library stays on your device/browser profile unless you delete it, clear browser/extension storage, or remove the extension.
B. Local UI State
BlitzPrompts also stores a small amount of local UI state in browser localStorage on supported AI sites.
This currently includes items such as:
- The current panel view
- The selected folder
- Tour progress and tour completion state
This data is used only to make the extension interface behave consistently in your browser.
3) Access To Supported AI Sites
The extension runs on specific supported AI websites, currently including:
- ChatGPT / OpenAI
- Claude
- Gemini
- Grok
- Qwen
- DeepSeek
- Kimi
On those sites, BlitzPrompts may access page content and page structure in order to:
- Inject the BlitzPrompts button and prompt panel into the page
- Detect where prompts should be inserted
- Insert prompts you choose to use
- Support features such as placeholders, modifiers, the prompt workbench, search, and onboarding
- Read visible page state needed for extension functionality on supported sites
The current extension code also includes site adapters that can read recent visible chat content from supported pages. In the current version we reviewed, that content is handled in the browser and is not sent to BlitzPrompts servers as part of a cloud backend workflow.
We do not claim ownership over the content you submit to third-party AI services. Your use of those third-party sites is also governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
4) What We Do Not Currently Collect
BlitzPrompts does not currently require or collect:
- Account registration information
- Passwords
- Payment card information
- Cloud-synced copies of your prompt library stored by BlitzPrompts
We also do not intentionally collect unrelated browser history.
5) How We Use Information
We use locally stored information to:
- Save and organize your prompts and folders
- Restore your library inside the extension
- Remember local interface state
- Power extension features on supported AI websites
- Improve usability of the prompt composition workflow inside your browser
If you contact us directly by email, we use the information you provide to respond to your message.
6) Sharing And Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information.
In the current version of BlitzPrompts, we do not maintain a user cloud database for saved prompts, and we do not routinely transmit your saved prompt library to BlitzPrompts servers for storage.
There are still some third-party services you may interact with:
A. Supported AI Websites
When you use BlitzPrompts on third-party AI sites, anything you submit directly on those sites is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy practices.
B. Uninstall Feedback Link
The extension currently sets an uninstall URL that points to a Google Forms page. If you uninstall the extension, your browser may open that page. If you choose to submit feedback there, Google and any information you provide in that form are governed by Google's terms and privacy practices.
C. External Links
The extension and website may open external pages such as:
- Supported AI platforms
- The BlitzPrompts templates page
- The Chrome Web Store listing
- Your email app when you use a
mailto:link
Those third-party services control their own handling of information.
7) Data Retention
Because BlitzPrompts currently stores core library data locally in your browser:
- Saved prompts and folders remain available until you delete them, clear storage, or uninstall/remove the extension or browser profile
- Local UI state remains until it is overwritten, deleted, or cleared
If you email us, we may retain that correspondence for support and operational purposes.
8) Security
Local-only storage reduces the amount of data BlitzPrompts keeps on remote systems, but no storage method is perfectly secure.
You are responsible for the security of your device, browser profile, and any third-party AI accounts you use with the extension. Anyone with access to your local browser profile may be able to access data stored locally by the extension.
9) Your Choices
Because BlitzPrompts currently stores its main library locally, you can generally control your data directly by:
- Editing or deleting prompts and folders in the extension
- Clearing extension/browser storage
- Uninstalling the extension
If you contact us and have a privacy question, we will do our best to help based on the systems we currently operate.
10) Children's Privacy
BlitzPrompts is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.
11) Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the Effective Date above.
