Privacy Policy

BlitzPrompts (“BlitzPrompts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a Chrome extension, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) that help users create, organize, and use prompt templates and related features.

Effective Date: December 15, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) What We Collect

A. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Password (stored and managed by our authentication provider; we do not receive or store your password in plain text)

B. Prompts and Folders You Choose to Store

To provide core functionality, we store the content you intentionally save in the Services, such as:

  • Prompt templates (including variables like {{x}} and {{y}})
  • Folders / organization metadata (e.g., folder names and which prompts belong to which folders)

Prompt Workbench fields (role/instructions/context) and Modifiers (tone/style/constraints) are applied in your browser to help you compose prompts. We do not store those as separate records; if you save a prompt template, the saved prompt text is what we store.

C. Payment Information (Pro Tier)

If you purchase Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as:

  • Confirmation that a payment occurred
  • Subscription status (active/canceled)
  • Basic identifiers needed to link your subscription to your BlitzPrompts account

We do not store full payment card numbers.

D. Information We Do Not Collect (Important)

We do not intentionally collect:

  • The content of your conversations in third-party AI products (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen) beyond what you explicitly save as a prompt template in BlitzPrompts
  • “Browser history” unrelated to using our Services

2) AI Features and How Data Flows

BlitzPrompts includes optional AI-assisted features that may send limited data to third-party model providers to generate results.

A. Prompt Suggester

  • The Prompt Suggester analyzes up to the most recent prompts and responses you provide to it (e.g., the last few interactions) to suggest follow-up prompts.
  • This feature may use Grok as the primary model provider, with a Gemini fallback.
  • We do not store the conversation history you pass into the suggester for generation.

B. Prompt Enhancer

  • The Prompt Enhancer works in two steps:

    1. An LLM asks up to five questions to clarify your prompt
    2. An LLM synthesizes your prompt + your answers into an enhanced prompt

  • This feature may use Grok with a Gemini fallback.

  • We do not store the prompt, the clarifying Q&A, or the enhanced result unless you choose to save it into your prompt library.

C. What We Mean by “We Don’t Store”

When we say we do not store inputs for these AI features, we mean BlitzPrompts does not persist those inputs in our application databases as part of the feature.

Note: Third-party model providers may process data in accordance with their own policies and terms. You should review their documentation to understand how they handle data.

3) How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Services (create/edit/delete prompts and folders; help you compose prompts using the Prompt Workbench and Modifiers)
  • Authenticate you and secure your account
  • Enforce plan limits (Free vs Pro) and manage subscriptions
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Maintain, debug, and improve the Services
  • Comply with legal obligations

4) How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

A. Service Providers

We use vendors to run parts of the Services (for example, authentication/database hosting, payments, and AI providers). These vendors process data on our behalf and are expected to protect it.

Examples include:

  • Authentication / database provider (e.g., Supabase)
  • Payments (Stripe)
  • AI model providers (Grok and Gemini for specific optional features)

B. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

C. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5) Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes.

  • Account information: retained while your account is active.
  • Stored prompt library content: retained until you delete it or delete your account.
  • AI feature inputs (suggester/enhancer): not retained by BlitzPrompts unless you choose to save the output to your library.

We may retain limited data longer if required by law (e.g., accounting or tax records related to subscription payments).

6) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for any actions taken under your account.

7) Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as:

  • Accessing your personal data
  • Correcting inaccuracies
  • Deleting your data
  • Objecting to or restricting certain processing
  • Data portability

You can typically manage, export, or delete your saved prompts within the Services. You can also contact us to request assistance.

8) Children’s Privacy

BlitzPrompts is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9) International Data Transfers

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in countries where we and our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10) Integrations and Third-Party Services

BlitzPrompts supports integrations with the following third-party AI tools and services: ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Qwen. This is the complete list of integrations at this time.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective Date” above and, if changes are material, we will provide notice through the Services or by email.
